Dynamic languages of propositional control for protocol specification

چکیده
We propose a family of dynamic logics of propositional control. They extend classical propositional logic by a variety of modal operators of assignment, and modal operators of transfer of control over a propositional variable. We also present an extension with operators of knowledge. We essentially focus on their formal properties, stating their complexity and their proof theory.

A further difference to our approach is that MLPM provides a richer vocabulary to express control over the execution of transitions. متن کاملWeb Service Choreography Verification Using Z Formal Specification
Web Service Choreography Description Language (WS-CDL) describes and orchestrates the services interactions among multiple participants. WS-CDL verification is essential since the interactions would lead to mismatches. Existing works verify the messages ordering, the flow of messages, and the expected results from collaborations. In this paper, we present a Z specification of WS-CDL. Besides ve...
متن کاملConstructive Protocol Specification Using Cicero
New protocols are often useful, but are hard to implement well. Protocol synthesis is a solution, but synthesized protocols can be slow. Implementing protocols will be even more challenging in the future, since we expect that more advanced communication functionality will be moved from applications into protocol implementations to reduce application development effort. This trend can be seen fr...
متن کاملA Readable TCP in the Prolac Protocol Language
Implementing network protocols correctly and readably with high performance is a difficult problem, one naturally addressed by specialized languages. However, most protocol languages concern themselves with provability and machine verification rather than readability, extensibility, and performance. Prolac is a new statically-typed, object-oriented protocol language designed for implementation ...
متن کاملPropositional Dynamic Logic for Reasoning about First-Class Agent Interaction Protocols
For agents to fulfill their potential of being intelligent and adaptive, it is useful to model their interaction protocols as executable entities that can be referenced, inspected, composed, shared and invoked between agents, all at runtime. We use the term first-class protocol to refer to such protocols. Rather than having hard-coded decision making mechanisms for choosing their next move, age...
